SOTA OE/SB-224 Bernkogel
As the weather was very fine today up in the mountains (down in the valley -15 degrees, but on higher altitudes only abt. -3°C), we decided to activate a NEW summit.

SOTA OE/SB-211 Reiterkogel
Franzs goal for today was Reiterkogel. He reached the summit when I (Tom) finished my operation up on SB-231. As I finished packing my equipment for the way down Franz told me via 2m that he already has abt. 15 QSO`s.

SOTA OE/SB-321 Hochdurchkogel
Great WX this week so you really have to hurry up the mountains to achieve a few SOTA-points. Only 3 degrees in the morning (you can see frost on a picture) but later on very sunny and perfect for walking.

SOTA OE/TI-507 Steinplatte
Once again a strong pileup for Franz who was on “Steinplatte” today. Over about 30 minutes 1 QSO per minute – very good conditions and fb WX on this day… Watch the gallery for pictures!

Brightest sunshine – summit height of 2504m ASL – 10 Sota activator points to collect – these are the positive sides of this trip – the other side is a walking time of 7 hours but this could’t stop us …
